Amazon is one of the most popular and established sales platforms in the world. With monthly visitor numbers averaging 290 million in Europe, and with a highly developed sales environment, this is a hugely attractive platform for many online retailers. Moreover, only 22% of visitors search for well-known brand names on Amazon. So: whatever industry or niche you're active in, you too can benefit from selling through Amazon.  Do you want to start selling on Amazon? From now on you can easily do so via our own developed Amazon app.

What are the advantages of synchronizing your webshop with the Amazon app?

• Because you link to Amazon directly via CCV Shop, you don't have to pay any costs for the link yourself, unlike with other parties, and you can contact CCV Shop directly if you have any questions.
• You benefit from an extra sales channel with millions of visitors in addition to the visitors you already have in your own webshop.
• Product prices that you adjust in your webshop are automatically updated on Amazon.
• The product stock is updated automatically: if you sell a product via Amazon, the stock in your webshop will also be reduced by one piece.
• Is your product sold out in your webshop? Then the product will automatically be removed from Amazon.
• Orders from Amazon are automatically imported.

CCV Shop has developed a new free Amazon app. In this tutorial we will explain step by step how you can link Amazon to your webshop and what you need to take into account.

Other costs:
Because you link to Amazon directly via CCV Shop, you do not pay any costs for the link itself, in contrast to other parties. However, there are still costs that you have to pay to Amazon:

Seller Central Account:
The Seller Central is the management environment of Amazon. For a Seller Central account you pay 39 euros per month.

Reimbursement to Amazon:
Per sold product you pay a fee to Amazon. This is divided into percentages and different categories. If you sell a video game of 100 euros, you pay 15% (15 euros) to Amazon. In CCV Shop we will indicate what the estimated fee for this specific product is. You can look up the categories on Amazon itself. Some example categories are:

Books: 15%
Software and video games: 15%
Shoes and bags: 15% (if the total sales value is up to EUR 75).
Clothing and accessories: 17%
Shoes and bags 18% (if the total sales value is up to EUR 75).
Gift cards: 20%

What do you need to know (among other things):
Each product has a unique EAN that Amazon works with. Every product on Amazon has its own ASIN and EAN that are linked to each other. In addition, you have the SKU number, which is actually the same as your article number. These three linked together create your 'Listing' (product or advertisement on Amazon). Your listing (product) on Amazon can consist of multiple sellers. In the end, this means that you do not specifically sell one product, but you sell a price.  
Example:
You sell, just like your neighbor, bird houses on Amazon. You and your neighbour have the same EAN, ASIN, but a different SKU number. This birdhouse is in the same listing on Amazon, but you have two different prices.

Unique homemade products
Do you want to sell your homemade products on Amazon? Then this is also possible. You can apply for your own ASIN after you've done enough sales on Amazon. There is a maximum of 20 ASINS per day.
Please note! Without an EAN it is not possible to apply for an ASIN.

Installing the Amazon app:
You first need to install the Amazon app in CCV Shop's App Store. You can find it via: Starting point > App store under the category 'Sales channels'. When you press install, you will be asked if you agree that the app can read and write certain things. After that you will be directed to the installation page of Amazon. To start, you need to register your account with Amazon's Seller Central.

Amazon installation page:
Step 1:
On the Seller Central (administration environment Amazon) go to Settings > User rights.

Step 2:
Go to the heading 'Visit manage your apps'. 

Step 3:
Within Amazon, you still need to link CCV Shop as a developer. You can do this via the 'Authorize new developer' button at the top of the page: 

Step 4:
Fill in the following under Developer name and Developer ID:

Developer name: "CCV Shop
Developer ID: "492311482171" 

Step 5:
Accept the conditions by ticking both checkboxes and clicking on 'next'.

Step 6:
Once this is done you will see a page with important information you need for the Amazon settings in CCV Shop (your seller ID and MWS authorization token). Please note, do not click this away until you have copied the relevant information to CCV Shop or saved it somewhere else. When you enter the data and click install, the installation is complete and you can start.

Products
You can find Amazon's actions and other settings via: Starting Point > My Products > Manage Products. Open a product, and then go to the 'Metadata' tab.

Before you can forward your product, it is important to indicate where the product comes from, Amazon means the Country of Origin.
To add this you need to install our free app Global Pack, Global pack gives you as a company the option to name a product code and the country of origin.

Product without EAN:
With this app it is not possible to place a product without ASIN on Amazon. Do you want your own ASIN for your products? Then you can apply for one at Amazon. If you don't have a valid EAN, it is not possible to retrieve an ASIN and you will see the following screen:

You can fill in an ASIN and then continue, but it is advised to add an EAN to your product.

Product with EAN:
If you have entered an EAN with your product, the app will automatically try to find an ASIN. Still can't find the ASIN? No problem, you can still enter the ASIN manually.

When you click on 'next' you will see the following screen:

Here you can specify your condition, price max per order, see what a competitive price is for your product and the estimated fee you will have to pay for this product.

Once saved, it can take up to 15 minutes before your changes are visible on Amazon. This is because the link we have is not 'real time'. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong, you will see it in the 'Amazon History' block herein you will see a chronological list of all the actions that have been done with this listing, including any error messages. When you click on the option 'show full logs' you will see more technical information about the error message.

In addition, it is also possible to place and/or remove products on Amazon via the group action in the product management. This can be done via Starting point > My Products > Manage products. Click on the products in the product management, choose the group action and then the option 'Amazon'.  Please note! When no ASIN can be found for a product, it will not be forwarded to Amazon.

Labels in Product Management
In product management, a label is placed with the product when it is picked up and processed by our app. That is, when your product is on Amazon there will be an icon next to your product, these labels can also be found in the order management. 

Orders
When you have sold a product via Amazon, these sales will be retrieved and added to your CCV Shop order management. You can view the orders via: Starting point > My Orders > Order management. In the order manager you can immediately see when an order has been placed with Amazon, then an icon of Amazon will appear in the order manager overview:

From the order itself you can confirm the order. Open the specific order, and then go to the 'Links' tab. Confirm the order here, after which the following actions will be initiated at Amazon:

• The payment will be released and transferred to your account.
• The customer will be informed that the order will be shipped. 

Further actions you take in CCV Shop do not affect the order placed with Amazon and any changes within Amazon's order will overwrite the CCV Shop order. You can cancel the order and manage the shipping costs in Amazon via your Seller Central account.
