Do you want to manage all your products from one place and offer them in different shops? Then the Multishop app is a great solution for you! Multishop is made for webshop keepers who already maintain several web shops or have the ambition to do this in a fast, simple, functional and above all efficient way. With one central stock management you can easily determine in which webshop you want to place the products.
Install the App
First you have to install the Multishop app in the App Store. You can find these in the maintenance tool at: ''Starting point > App Store'' This app is free, but the purchase of a paid package (M or L) at CCV Shop is mandatory (figure 1).
Pay attention! You need to have this app installed in every webshop where you want to use Multishop.
Linking webshops
When you have installed the Multishop app for each webshop, you will see an arrow next to your webshop name at the top left of the maintenance tool. When you click on the arrow, you see a plus (+) and a gear icon.
By clicking on the plus sign, a window opens in the "Link" tab. The following options are visible:
Domain name
This is the domain name of your webshop that you want to take with you in your Multishop management.
User name
The username that you use to log in to the webshop you filled in above.
Password
The corresponding password of this username.
Link web store
Did you fill in the details? Then the web shops are linked together. you can choose to link multiple webshops. This number is infinite with a limitation of a total of 50,000 products in your Multishop management.
Import Products
When you have linked one or more webshops to each other, it is time to import the products from your webshop (s) to your Multishop management environment. In the tab "Management" you will see an overview of your linked webshops. Behind every shop you will see a button "Import products", here you can load the products. Of course you can also choose to create an empty Multishop management.
When you click on 'import products', a process runs in the background that imports your products and stock to your Multishop management and links them to your webshop. This may take a while. The time depends on the number of products in your webshop (s) and the pressure on the CCV Shop platform. Until that time you can not use your Multishop management. However, your webshop and your management will continue to work as before.
Please note! If you have multiple webshops with the same products, they are duplicated in the Multishop management.
The First Steps in Multishop
When you have imported products or have chosen to create an empty Multishop, an option will appear in the drop-down menu at the top left (when you click on the arrow next to your webshop name). In addition to all the web shops that you have linked, you will also see "Management". When you click on a webshop name, you switch to the relevant webshop. Click on "Multishop system'', then switch to the Multishop management.
With the option "Multishop system" you see the following options:
Product management
Here you can set your products and attribute sets.
My Multishop System
Here you will find a number of settings related to Multishop, such as packaging management, available languages and API data.
Status list
Here you can find an overview of the Multishop queue.
Product management
The product management in the Multishop management environment will remind you a lot of product management in the webshop.
What has been added? Next to the "Add product" button you will now also find a "Assign products" button. Once you have selected a number of products (click on the line or tick the selection box) and press this button, a dialog with the following options will appear:
Webshop name
When this is checked, the selected products are assigned to this webshop.
SEO Alias
When this is checked, an SEO alias is created based on the product name. You get the best result when the SEO alias is unique, so you can adjust this later in the product management of the webshop or the Multishop management.
Take the price from Multishop management
By default this selection box is checked. In this way we prevent a product without price from being visible in your webshop.
Category
The categories per webshop are unique, so you can select the category (s) to which you want to link the selected products.
What happens when you click Apply? An instruction is given to a process that runs in the background in order to assign the selected products to the various webshops. You can check the status of this action in the status list.
Please note! A product name is a mandatory field in all languages. If you have fewer languages active in your Multishop management than the webshop you assign the product to, the first language will be implemented in your webshop. In this way the product can be stored.
When products have been awarded and when they actually appear in the webshop (s), you will see the webshop name in the overview. This way you get a clear overview of which product is in which webshop.
Brands
A brand is not unique within a Multishop system. To prevent double brand names, they are all equal to each other. When a webshop is linked to a Multishop environment, all brands are imported to the Multishop management and available in all linked webshops. On the basis of name, double brand names are prevented. When decoupling a webshop from a Multishop environment, these brands will remain in the webshop.
State
The state of a product within Multishop is treated just like brands, when linking a webshop all conditions are imported and distributed over the linked webshops.
Supplier
Suppliers within Multishop are treated just like brands. All suppliers are imported to the Multishop management environment during the linking and from there distributed to all linked webshops. This way every webshop has the same suppliers.
Packaging
The packages within a Multishop have slightly different rules than the above properties. When linking a webshop, all packaging is imported to the Multishop management environment, regardless of the name. A cardboard box in webshop 1 does not have to have the same shipping costs as a cardboard box in webshop 2.
Status list
In order to ensure that user operations run as smoothly as possible and all large and slow processes take place in the background, the actions related to Multishop are put in a queue. In both the Multishop management and the webshop you will find a status list.
In the maintenance tool you can find this via "Starting point > My Webshop > Status list". Here you can see an overview of when your changes are visible in your webshop.
Set exception rules
In order to be able to present each product uniquely on your webshop, there is the possibility of not including certain fields from Multishop. In a webshop you can indicate which properties of a product can not be overwritten from the Multishop management.
Via "Starting point > My Webshop > Settings > General > Multishop settings" you can see different properties of a product. This data is taken over from the Multishop management and this information will be overwritten within the webshop. Check if you want to fill in this information yourself and do not want to overwrite it. When you try to edit a Multishop product in the webshop (identified by the Multishop icon below the product) you see that the properties that are not checked are no longer grayed out.
Please note! When a setting is turned off, the products must be stored again in the Multishop administration screen.
Please note! When an import is run, a Multishop product is completely ignored and not overwritten or modified.
Shared order management
You can also use a shared order management. This means that you can view the orders of all your webshops in one overview / management environment, adjust them and create them per shop.
You can switch this function on or off per webshop. Then the shared order management is visible in your Multishop environment. The settings can be found via ''Starting point > My Webshop > Settings > General > Multishop settings'.
Order overview
To view all orders go to ''Starting point > My customers > Order management'. You see through the different colors labels from which webshop the order originates. You can also create an order here. As an extra step you have to choose which webshop this applies to.
