PayPal ensures that consumers and businesses can receive and send payments online safely and easily using only an e-mail address. The PayPal network is built on the existing financial infrastructure of bank accounts and credit cards and thus forms a global payment system. PayPal provides payment solutions for small businesses, web shops, online vendors and anyone where traditional payment systems offer insufficient possibilities.

For merchants that already use PayPal, but want to get even more out of it, PayPal has two free product extensions: Webshop payments Express and Wax Booster. With Web Store Payments Express, the payment process is significantly reduced, Wax Booster is a quick and easy way to accept payments from consumers who do not yet have a PayPal account but have a credit card. Both Webshop payment Express and Wax Booster are supported in your CCV Shop webshop. The costs for the use are determined by you in consultation with PayPal.

This manual describes what you need to do to integrate PayPal into your web store. No extra costs will be charged for activating the link. PayPal, however, does have costs for the use.

Please note! You need to purchase package M or L from CCV Shop in order to use this payment system.

Sign up for PayPal

First you have to sign up with PayPal. You can do this on the PayPal website: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/account-selection When the registration is successfully completed you can start with the settings in PayPal.

In PayPal you have to give access to CCV Shop to facilitate the payment for you. Without this access it is not possible to accept payments via Express Checkout. Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to provide API access to CCV Shop.

My account 

In your home screen (figure 1) of PayPal you click on 'Profile' and then on 'Profile and settings'.

In your 'Profile overview' of PayPal, go to '' API Access' (figure 2). You can find this under 'My sales resources'. Then click on "Update API access".

In the 'API access' screen, click on 'Update API'. After clicking on Update Api, click on: Assign API acces rights. Now you add a new access right by clicking on 'Add new third party (figure 3).

You fill in the data below with the right of access (figure 4). 

Then click on "add"

Settings CCV Shop 

In the maintenance tool you can enter your details via Starting point > My Webshop > Settings > Order process & Inventory > Payment methods under the PayPal box. 

• Standard Checkout: you choose here 'Via API integration (Recommended)'.
• PayPal e-mail address: your PayPal e-mail address
• Test mode: only activate this if you have also activated the test environment in the PayPal environment.
• Offer payment via credit cards: this option gives your customers the option to pay by credit card.
• Activate PayPal Express Checkout: turn it on when you want the button for the Express Checkout to be visible in the shopping cart. This is desirable because the customer is directly referred to the payment option and transfers a step into the order process.
• Extra costs: if your customers want to charge a fee for the use of PayPal, you can opt for a fixed amount or a percentage of the order. 

Please note! With the first option you can also choose for the outdated integration of PayPal (HTML integration). This is only available for customers who do not yet use the new integration.

Then click on 'Add'.

Now you have PayPal added to your payment methods.
