You can add banners to a Theme lay-out. To do this, open the maintenance tool and go to ''Starting point > My Webshop > Settings > Lay-out > Webshop themes > Banners''. You can use a number of different elements here, although this does not apply to every theme.
- Photo banner
You can upload your image here. This feature allows you to set images to clickable (URL) and whether the link should be opened in a new window or not. - Text banner
You can add a custom text here, such as information about opening hours or contact details. - HTML banner
You can also add HTML, allowing you to load your own texts or images. This feature is often used for loading scripts, e.g. KiyOh or a chat application.
After adding the banner, you will need to add the banner set to the lay-out. To do this, go to ''Starting point > My webshop > Settings > Lay-out > Webshop themes > Window lay-out''.
This is only possible for themes that include window lay-out customization.
Please note: Using incorrect HTML code will damage or limit the functionality of your webshop.
When loading images via HTML, it may happen that the width of the loaded section is too wide, with the entire bar appearing at the very bottom of the page. This will happen when it does not fit the allocated space.
Tips:
You can specify whether banners need to be tiled horizontally or vertically. You can also specify the space in between the banners. To find these settings, go to ''Starting point > My webshop > Settings > Lay-out > Banners > Settings (under Window set)''. When using large banners, select ‘Tile vertically’ for best results.
Banner sizes:
When uploading a banner, it will be scaled if it is wider than the following dimensions. If you are uploading an image in 120px, it will be displayed in that size.
Theme | Maximum banner width |
Abeo | 190 px |
BBStyle v2.0 | Round windows: 180 px Square windows: 190 px |
Guido | 202 px |
Kameleon | 202 px |
