As a merchant you want the best for your customer. Data that the customer leaves behind during an order you want to secure well. When you request a webshop from CCV Shop you can use a shared certificate as a standard. This means that the data is secured but that your web store is not optimally available in search engines. Thanks to your own 'private' SSL certificate your web shop is even better encrypted and easier to find in search engines.

What is a full SSL certificate? 

SSL is an abbreviation for Secure Socket Layer. SSL is a way to create a secure connection between a web server and an internet browser. This connection ensures that all data sent between the web server and browser remain secret to outsiders and can not be stolen.

Why a certificate?

Secure websites with a Full SSL certificate are better appreciated by search engines and score higher in the search results. Full SSL means that all pages of your webshop are shown via SSL and are secured.

Which certificate do you need?

You can decide for yourself whether you want an extra extension on your SSL certificate for your web store. If you want to use a certificate then you have the choice of two types of certificates to secure the web shop even better:

- Private IP (with a DV SSL certificate)
Own IP address with a DV SSL certificate. When the Full SSL certificate is valid, the address of your webshop will start with 'https' and you will see a closed padlock at the top of the browser, next to the url in the address bar. This solution costs €89 per year (excl. VAT).

- Private IP (with an EV SSL certificate)
With EV SSL certificates, extra validations are done and the organization name is extra validated. This solution costs €189 per year (excl. VAT).

How do I request a Full SSL certificate?

As a customer of CCV Shop, we give you the opportunity to make use of these unique functionalities. If you want to use this option, you can email the support department of your country. 

Ordered, and then?

After your request we ensure that the certificate becomes active in your webshop. There is an extensive procedure for requesting an EV SSL certificate. You will hear from our support team what steps are needed for this.
