Adding metadata

CCV Shop does not offer functionality for editing HTML directly. However, we have included options that enable HTML customization through a number of system functionalities. This means adding metadata directly is not possible, but you can use the system in a number of ways to add them indirectly.

Where to add metadata 

Webshop
To add metadata for the entire webshop, go to “Starting point > My webshop > Settings > General > Website data > Search terms separated by commas”.
Pages
To add page-specific metadata, go to “Starting point > My webshop > My pages > Page properties”.
Products
To add product-specific metadata, go to “Starting point > My products > Manage products > The product > Metadata tab > Metadata”
Products

How much metadata should I add?

When using metaterms or keywords, it is important to limit the number of keywords / metaterms to a minimum. Example: If you set three keywords, each one will carry 1/3 of the value. If you set 20 keywords, each one will carry 1/20 of the value.

A metadescription can be longer but here, too, be careful so you do not overdo it. The metadescription is commonly used in search results, with the description added as a short piece of text.
