CCV Shop has links to various shipping parties. Via PostNL and MyParcel it is also possible to send parcels outside the European Union, but this requires additional customs data. To make this possible, CCV Shop has added the app "PostNL Dispatch Global Pack". By means of this app, you can add codes for product groups, which are used by the shipping parties to create customs labels.
Note: This is not the same for all shipping parties, PostNL uses HS (Harmonised System) and MyParcel uses ISIC (International Standard Industrial Classification).
Installing the app:
Go to Starting point > Appstore, search for the app "PostNL Dispatch Service Global Pack" and click on activate. To use this functionality, you must also have an app installed from a consignor who uses it. The shipping parties are:
- PostNL Shipping service
- PostNL Checkout
- MyParcel
- MyParcel Belgium
Add codes:
Under Starting Point > My Products you will find the section Trade Code Systems. Different code systems are supported, which can be consulted via the Internet. Here you can create codes, search for codes and see which products are linked to a certain code.
When adding or editing a code, you can specify a number of things: The code itself, a description of the product group, the country of origin and the type of code. In addition, under the products tab you can immediately see which products are linked to this code, and if desired, you can go directly to a product to edit it.
On the overview page, you can also filter the list of created codes by (full or partial) description, code or type.
Linking codes to products:
When you edit a product in the product management (Starting Point > My Products > Manage Products), you will find the option to select a code under the General tab:
Use with shipments:
If you have linked the correct codes to products that you want to ship outside Europe, you do not need to take any further steps. This will automatically be added when exporting your order to the shipping company.
Other customs data:
Besides the codes, there are 2 more product details that are important for customs, these are price and weight. It is therefore advisable to ensure that these details are carefully entered for all products.
