Information obligation
Contact details, payment, shipping, returns, warranty etc. must be sent to the customer again after ordering. For example in a confirmation email. Furthermore, the webstore must also provide information about legal conformity rules, the so-called legal guarantee.
You should think of information such as:
- How can the customer return products?
- How is the warranty for the product drawn up?
- How are the products delivered and what is the delivery time?
- How can the customer contact you?
- How can the customer file a complaint?
- All contact information from the shop;
- How can the customer pay?
How you can inform the customer is explained below:
You create a modular page via "Starting point > My Webshop > My pages" and click on Add page.
Then select the modular page and give it the title "Information", for example.
On that page you create a text element in which you show all the information related to the above points. Through this method you ensure that all important information can be found in one place in accordance with the rules.
Right of withdrawal
The standard return period has gone from 7 working days to 14 calendar days. The term starts after receipt of the product. For multiple products from a single order, the term only starts after delivery of the last product.
You also have to provide a model form on your website that the consumer can use when he /she wants to cancel the sale. This may be digital or printable. When the customer has indicated that he / she wants to cancel the purchase, the customer has another 14 days to return the product. The consumer may also return the package without prior notice, provided that he / she places a statement with the package.
From now on you can also upload and present a PDF or .docx file in the maintenance panel. With every text box with a "Word editor" this is possible.
On the same modular page, as described above, you can offer this document with a download element.
Confirmation via e-mail
In order to provide customers with the best possible information about this, it is now mandatory to transfer this information or the link to it via the order confirmation.
You do this by entering the following code in your order confirmation email:
<A HREF="http://www.uwwebwinkelnaam.nl/informatiepagina"> Put down an easy link reference here </A>
You can do this via "Starting point > My Webshop > Settings > Texts" and then under the heading Webshop order confirmation text you can place this link to the model form.
