It is possible to activate a login system on your webshop. There are various choices, such as a General login, or a User login. You can activate the login system at "Starting point > My Web shop > Settings > General > Login system".
The general logging system ensures that you can log in with one global username and password. The purpose of the general login is to hide products for guests. When this is enabled, you will see a login screen when a product is clicked.
The user logging system ensures that multiple users can log in, each with their own username and password. It is possible to determine how users can be created. You can set the user logging system to one of the following options:
- On with registration
Users can log in to your web store. New customers can also create a User login. When a customer (who is not logged in) wants to place an order, he is obliged to create a user login.
- On without registration
Users can log in to your web store. New customers can not create a user login. You can do this yourself and therefore determine exactly who can log into your web store. Make sure you provide the customer with the login details, this is not sent by the system.
- On with automatic registration
Users can log in to your web store. New customers who place an order will automatically receive a username and password via e-mail after ordering.
- With approval after registration: after registration the merchant receives an e-mail stating that a customer has registered. The customer can only log in and order after approve of the merchant.
You can create, modify or delete users through the "Starting point > My customers > Users". You can not change the customer's password.
